State and system of government
Kuwait is an independent and fully sovereign Arab State. It may not relinquish its sovereignty or relinquish any part of its territory.
And the people of Kuwait is part of the Arab nation .
Article 2 The
religion of the State is Islam, and Islamic law is a major source of legislation.
Article 3
The official language of the State shall be Arabic.
Article 4
Kuwait is a hereditary emirate in the offspring of the late Mubarak Al-Sabah.
The Crown Prince shall be appointed within a maximum of one year from the assumption of the Amir.
In the event of non-appointment as previously, the Emir shall recommend to the Crown Prince at least three of the said offspring.
The Crown Prince must be a reasonable rational and a legitimate son of Muslim parents.
All other provisions relating to the inheritance of the Emirate shall be regulated by a special law issued within one year from the date of the entry into force of this Constitution and shall have a constitutional character.
Article 5 The
law shall state the flag, emblem, emblems, decorations and national anthem of the State.
Article 6 The
system of government in Kuwait shall be democratic. Sovereignty shall be vested in the nation as the source of all powers
